Job Overview
We are seeking a Sustainable Urban Planner to join our team in Port Said, Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of sustainable urban plans and policies, and for promoting the rights of urban dwellers.
The Sustainable Urban Planner will work closely with government officials, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for sustainable urban development and to develop strategies for implementing these plans.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in urban planning, with a focus on sustainable development and urban resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of sustainable urban plans and policies
- Promote the rights of urban dwellers and advocate for their needs
- Work closely with government officials, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for sustainable urban development
- Develop strategies for implementing sustainable urban plans and policies
- Conduct research and analysis to inform urban planning decisions
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field
- 8-12 years of experience in urban planning, with a focus on sustainable development and urban resilience
- Strong knowledge of urban planning principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and to build partnerships with government officials, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in urban planning, with a focus on sustainable development and urban resilience.
Salary
The salary for this position is 60,000 – 90,000 SSP per year.
