Job Overview

The Supply Chain Risk Manager will lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks that could impact Maersk Egypt’s supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments covering operational, financial, regulatory, and geopolitical factors affecting the supply chain.
• Develop and maintain a risk register, ensuring timely updates and clear ownership of mitigation actions.
• Design and implement risk mitigation strategies, including contingency planning, insurance solutions, and alternative routing.
• Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to leverage predictive modeling and AI tools for early risk detection.
• Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and produce regular risk dashboards for senior leadership.
• Lead crisis response drills and coordinate with emergency services and customs authorities during disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and Maersk’s internal policies.
• Provide training and awareness programs for staff on risk awareness and mitigation techniques.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior executives and external partners.
• Proficiency in risk management frameworks such as ISO 31000, COSO, or similar.
• Hands‑on experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle SCM) and data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of Egyptian import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade agreements.

Education
