Job Overview
The Precision Agriculture Data Scientist will lead the development of advanced analytics models that integrate satellite imagery, IoT sensor data, weather forecasts, and historical yield records. Working closely with agronomists, software engineers, and field specialists, you will design algorithms that predict crop performance, detect stress factors, and recommend variable‑rate applications. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate machine‑learning models for yield prediction, disease detection, and input optimization using multi‑source agricultural data.
- Integrate satellite imagery, drone surveys, soil sensor readings, and weather APIs into a unified analytics pipeline.
- Collaborate with agronomists to translate model outputs into practical field recommendations for growers.
- Design interactive dashboards and visualizations that present insights in an intuitive format for end‑users.
- Conduct field trials in collaboration with local farms to test model accuracy and refine algorithms.
- Document methodologies, code, and results following Corteva’s data governance standards.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI/ML techniques and agricultural technologies, proposing innovative solutions to improve platform performance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python or R, with extensive experience in libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, and GeoPandas.
- Strong background in geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and handling raster/vector data.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and big‑data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
- Knowledge of agronomic principles, crop physiology, and farming practices in Egypt.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven mindset.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Education
A Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Candidates with a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline are highly desirable, especially those with research focused on precision agriculture or remote sensing.
Experience
Minimum of five years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning, with at least two years dedicated to agricultural applications. Salary
