Job Overview
The Precision Agriculture Analyst will join Cargill Egypt’s Precision Farming team in Alexandria, focusing on the collection, analysis, and interpretation of agronomic data to optimize crop performance. The analyst will collaborate with agronomists, data engineers, and field technicians to develop actionable recommendations for farmers across the Nile Delta. This position plays a critical role in advancing Cargill’s digital agriculture platform, ensuring that data‑driven decisions translate into measurable yield improvements and resource efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Collect and integrate satellite imagery, IoT sensor data, and field trial results to build comprehensive agronomic datasets.
- Perform statistical analysis and machine‑learning modeling to identify yield drivers, pest pressures, and soil health indicators.
- Develop and present clear, data‑backed recommendations to farmers, agronomists, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the IT team to enhance data pipelines, ensuring data quality, security, and scalability.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of precision agriculture pilots, adjusting models based on real‑world feedback.
- Support the creation of training materials and workshops for farmer adoption of digital tools.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and best practices in precision farming.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Experience with GIS platforms (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) and remote sensing data.
- Strong understanding of agronomy, crop physiology, and soil science.
- Ability to translate complex data insights into practical, farmer‑friendly recommendations.

Education
A bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Data Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., GIS, Data Science) are considered a strong advantage.
Experience

Salary
