Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mine Safety Compliance Officer to ensure all mining operations in Suez adhere to national and international safety standards. This role is critical in maintaining a zero-hazard work environment while supporting the company’s mission to achieve industry-leading safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mine safety protocols aligned with Egyptian mining regulations and ISO 45001 standards
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments across open-pit and underground operations
• Train mining personnel on emergency response procedures and equipment safety protocols
• Investigate workplace incidents and prepare detailed compliance reports for regulatory authorities
• Collaborate with environmental teams to ensure integrated safety and sustainability practices

Required Skills

• Proven experience in mining safety compliance (3-5 years)
• Certification in Mine Safety Management Systems (MSMS) or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Mining Code and OSHA standards
• Proficiency in safety software (e.g., Safeti and Mine Safety Tools)
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or Environmental Science
• Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in mining safety roles with progressive responsibility
• Experience in gold mining operations strongly preferred

Salary

80,000 – 120,000 SSP per year, depending on qualifications and experience
