As a Sustainable Geospatial Analyst with IWA, you will play a key role in our efforts to promote sustainable water management in Egypt. You will work closely with our team of water experts to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies for improving water management practices in the country.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Geospatial Analyst to join our team in Aswan, Egypt. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geospatial technology and a proven track record of analyzing complex data sets to identify trends and develop strategies for improving water management practices.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in geospatial technology or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. They will be proficient in a range of geospatial software packages, including ArcGIS and QGIS, and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will be based in Aswan, Egypt, and will work closely with our team of water experts to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies for improving water management practices in the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and develop strategies for improving water management practices
- Work closely with our team of water experts to develop and implement sustainable water management practices
- Develop and maintain geospatial databases and maps to support water management decision-making
- Provide technical assistance to government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations to support sustainable water management practices
- Contribute to the development of IWA’s water management policies and guidelines
Required Skills
- Strong background in geospatial technology, including ArcGIS and QGIS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of analyzing complex data sets to identify trends and develop strategies for improving water management practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Technology or related field
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
Salary
15,000 – 25,000 SSP per month
