Job Overview

The Supply Chain Optimization Manager will lead strategic initiatives to enhance end‑to‑end supply chain performance across DP World’s terminal and inland logistics network in Egypt. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current supply chain workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design optimization models using advanced analytics.
  • Develop and implement KPI dashboards to monitor throughput, dwell time, and cost per TEU.
  • Collaborate with terminal operators, customs authorities, and freight forwarders to streamline documentation and clearance processes.
  • Lead cross‑functional projects aimed at reducing operational expenses by 5‑10% annually.
  • Oversee demand forecasting and capacity planning for both maritime and inland transport segments.
  • Drive adoption of digital tools such as IoT sensors, AI‑based routing, and blockchain for cargo traceability.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership and recommend strategic investments.
  • Mentor junior analysts and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Operations & Strategy department.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience in supply chain optimization, preferably within ports, terminals or large‑scale logistics hubs.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Candidates holding a Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, Six Sigma) will be given priority.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management, with a proven track record of delivering measurable efficiency gains. Experience within a global logistics company or a major port authority is highly desirable.

Salary
