Job Overview

The Marine Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for orchestrating the seamless movement of cargo through MSC’s Alexandria terminal, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations, optimizing vessel stowage plans, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute daily vessel stowage plans, ensuring optimal space utilization and adherence to safety standards.
  • Coordinate cargo loading and unloading activities with terminal operators, customs authorities, and inland transport providers.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, berth allocations, and port congestion, proactively adjusting plans to minimize delays.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including bills of lading, cargo manifests, and customs declarations.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks, recommend process improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations, local port authority rules, and MSC’s internal policies.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve operational issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare regular performance reports on key metrics such as turnaround time, cargo dwell time, and equipment utilization.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of maritime logistics, container handling, and port operations.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., NAVIS, CargoSmart) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with a data‑driven approach to problem solving.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.

Education
