Job Overview
The Exploration Geologist will lead field and office activities that identify, evaluate, and delineate mineral resources in the Sohag region. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of geophysicists, drill‑site engineers, and data analysts, the successful candidate will design and implement exploration programs, interpret geological data, and produce technical reports that guide investment decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute geological field programs, including mapping, sampling, and geophysical surveys.
- Analyze geological data, construct 3‑D models, and assess mineral potential using industry‑standard software.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Collaborate with geophysicists, drilling engineers, and environmental specialists to integrate multidisciplinary data.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian mining regulations, health and safety standards, and Barrick Gold’s ESG policies.
- Mentor junior geologists and field assistants, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in geological mapping, structural interpretation, and mineral deposit modeling.
- Experience with GIS, Leapfrog, Surfer, or similar exploration software.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven mindset.
- Effective communication skills for report writing and stakeholder presentations.
- Ability to work in remote field conditions, including hot climates and rugged terrain.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSP, PGeo) are considered an advantage and may enhance candidacy for future advancement.
