Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Sustainable Energy Consultant to join our Aswan-based team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing renewable energy projects tailored to Egypt’s unique environmental and economic landscape. The ideal candidate will collaborate with government agencies, private sector partners, and local communities to advance sustainable development goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies for solar, wind, and hydroelectric energy projects in Aswan and surrounding regions.
- Develop project proposals, budgets, and timelines in alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, environmental scientists, and policymakers to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
- Provide technical expertise on energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction, and renewable resource optimization.
- Present project outcomes to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and public engagement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in renewable energy project management or environmental consulting.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating energy systems and environmental impact assessments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., HOMER, RETScreen) and GIS tools.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, with additional language skills (e.g., French) being an asset.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy or Sustainable Development is highly advantageous.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in renewable energy consulting, project management, or environmental engineering. Prior work on solar/wind energy projects in Egypt or neighboring regions is preferred.
Salary
120,000 – 180,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and project impact.
