Job Overview

The Smart Agriculture Drone Operator will play a pivotal role in advancing precision agriculture initiatives across Sohag and surrounding regions. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct drone flights over agricultural fields, ensuring compliance with local aviation regulations and safety standards.
  • Capture multispectral, thermal, and RGB imagery to monitor crop vigor, water stress, and disease incidence.
  • Process raw data using specialized software (e.g., Pix4D, DroneDeploy) to generate orthomosaics, NDVI maps, and 3‑D models.
  • Collaborate with agronomy teams to interpret aerial analytics and develop precision farming recommendations.
  • Maintain and calibrate drone hardware, sensors, and ground control stations to guarantee data accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed flight reports, data logs, and visual presentations for internal stakeholders and external farmer partners.
  • Stay updated on emerging drone technologies, agricultural sensors, and regulatory changes affecting aerial operations.
  • Support training sessions for field staff on drone safety, data collection protocols, and basic image interpretation.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in operating commercial UAVs (e.g., DJI Matrice series) and associated payloads.
  • Strong knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing principles, and GIS software.

Education
