Job Overview
The Project Finance Analyst will support the finance team in evaluating, structuring, and monitoring the financial aspects of large‑scale energy projects, including wind farms, solar parks, and gas‑fired power plants. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders, you will develop financial models, conduct risk assessments, and prepare investment memoranda. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for new and existing energy projects.
- Perform cost‑benefit analysis, cash‑flow forecasting, and sensitivity testing.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to gather project data and assumptions.
- Prepare investment proposals, business cases, and presentation decks for senior management and investors.
- Monitor project performance against budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the negotiation of financing terms with banks, equity partners, and government agencies.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of financing strategies for renewable energy initiatives.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of energy markets, project finance structures, and risk mitigation techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or PMP are highly regarded and will be given preference during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in project finance, preferably within the energy, infrastructure, or utilities sectors. Experience with renewable energy projects, public‑private partnerships, and international financing structures will be considered a strong advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 150,000 to 250,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
