Job Overview
The Offshore Wind Turbine Engineer will be responsible for the complete engineering lifecycle of offshore wind projects, from conceptual design through installation, commissioning, and performance optimization. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the engineer will ensure that turbine systems meet rigorous safety, reliability, and efficiency standards while adhering to local regulations and international best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of offshore wind turbine structures, foundations, and electrical systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, marine engineers, and subcontractors to develop detailed engineering packages.
- Perform load calculations, fatigue analysis, and compliance checks against IEC and DNV standards.
- Support the procurement process by preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Oversee installation activities, including site surveys, logistics planning, and on‑site troubleshooting.
- Conduct performance testing, data analysis, and post‑commissioning reviews to optimize turbine output.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and finite element analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of offshore wind turbine mechanics, aerodynamics, and electrical systems.
- Experience with marine environmental conditions, corrosion protection, and foundation design.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure in remote locations.
- Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Project management experience and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in renewable energy, offshore structures, or project management are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in offshore wind turbine engineering, marine infrastructure projects, or related heavy‑industry sectors. Proven track record of delivering complex engineering solutions on time and within budget is essential.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this role is 180,000 – 250,000 SSP per annum, complemented by performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a comprehensive benefits package.
