Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team in Marsa Matruh, Egypt. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geophysics, with expertise in seismic imaging, gravity, and magnetic methods. They will be responsible for designing and implementing research projects, collecting and analyzing data, and publishing research papers in leading scientific journals.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geophysics and at least 8 years of experience in research and development. They will have a strong track record of publishing research papers in leading scientific journals and will be able to demonstrate their expertise in seismic imaging, gravity, and magnetic methods.
The successful candidate will be based in Marsa Matruh, Egypt, and will be required to travel occasionally to other locations in Egypt and abroad. They will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team of scientists and researchers who are passionate about advancing our understanding of the Earth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement research projects in geophysics, including seismic imaging, gravity, and magnetic methods.
- Collect and analyze data from a wide range of sources, including seismic surveys, gravity measurements, and magnetic surveys.
- Publish research papers in leading scientific journals and present research findings at conferences and workshops.
- Collaborate with other scientists and researchers to advance our understanding of the Earth and its processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure that our research meets their needs and expectations.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in research and development.
- Strong background in seismic imaging, gravity, and magnetic methods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
