Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Data Scientist to join our team in Beni Suef, Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to support our conservation efforts in the region.
The Digital Forestry Data Scientist will work closely with our team of scientists, researchers, and conservationists to analyze and interpret large datasets, identify trends and patterns, and develop predictive models to inform our conservation strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, environmental science, or a related field, and experience working with large datasets and machine learning algorithms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to support conservation efforts in the region
- Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends and patterns
- Develop predictive models to inform conservation strategies
- Work closely with scientists, researchers, and conservationists to develop and implement conservation plans
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize conservation efforts
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in data science, environmental science, or related field
- Strong background in machine learning algorithms and data analysis
- Experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. in a related field is an asset.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in data science, environmental science, or a related field. Experience working with large datasets and machine learning algorithms is essential.
Salary
The salary for this position is SSP 80,000 – 120,000 per year, depending on experience.
