Job Overview
The Credit Risk Analyst will join the Risk Management department to assess, monitor, and mitigate credit exposure across HSBC’s corporate and SME portfolios in Egypt. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and market trends to evaluate creditworthiness of corporate and SME clients.
- Prepare detailed credit risk assessment reports and assign risk ratings in line with HSBC’s internal methodologies.
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure loan terms that balance client needs with risk appetite.
- Monitor existing credit exposures, identify early warning signals, and recommend remedial actions.
- Assist in the development and refinement of credit policies, procedures, and risk models.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and HSBC Group risk standards.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior risk committees and senior management.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in financial modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.

- Sound understanding of Egyptian banking regulations and credit risk frameworks.

Education
