Job Overview

We are seeking an Alternative Fuels Process Engineer to join our operations team in Suez. In this role, you will optimize the co-processing of alternative fuels in our cement kilns, ensuring maximum thermal substitution rates while maintaining product quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and optimize the co-processing of alternative fuels in the cement manufacturing process.
  • Analyze kiln process parameters and thermal substitution rates to maximize alternative fuel utilization.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues related to alternative fuel feeding, handling, and combustion.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure alternative fuel usage does not impact cement quality.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and process simulations for new alternative fuel projects.
  • Ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards during co-processing.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of cement manufacturing processes, pyro-processing, and combustion technology.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline from an accredited university.

Experience

A minimum of 5 to 8 years of professional experience in process engineering within the cement, petrochemical, or heavy manufacturing industries, with a proven track record in alternative fuels or co-processing systems.
