Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Data Scientist to join our team in Beni Suef, Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to support our conservation efforts. This role will involve working closely with our forestry team to analyze data on forest health, biodiversity, and ecosystem services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, programming skills, and experience working with geospatial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to support conservation efforts
- Analyze data on forest health, biodiversity, and ecosystem services
- Work closely with the forestry team to develop and implement conservation strategies
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate data-driven insights into conservation planning
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support conservation efforts
Required Skills:
- Strong background in data science and programming skills
- Experience working with geospatial data and GIS software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in data science, conservation, or a related field
Salary: 50,000 – 80,000 SSP per year
