Job Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team in Aswan, Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing conservation projects and programs in the region, working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field, and will have experience working in a similar role.

The Environmental Conservation Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing conservation plans and projects in the region
  • Collaborating with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve conservation goals
  • Conducting fieldwork, including surveys, monitoring, and research
  • Analyzing data and preparing reports on conservation progress
  • Representing The Nature Conservancy in regional and national forums

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement conservation plans and projects in the region
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve conservation goals
  • Conduct fieldwork, including surveys, monitoring, and research
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on conservation progress

Required Skills

  • Strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a developing country
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field

Experience

5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, preferably in a developing country

Salary

25,000 – 35,000 SSP per month
