Job Overview
The Network Optimization Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing the performance, reliability, and efficiency of Telecom Egypt’s nationwide backbone and access networks. Reporting to the Senior Network Planning Manager, the incumbent will analyze traffic patterns, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive network performance assessments using KPI dashboards, drive‑test tools, and traffic analytics.
- Develop and implement optimization plans for radio access networks (RAN), core transport, and IP/MPLS segments.
- Collaborate with RF, planning, and engineering teams to design capacity upgrades and spectrum re‑allocation.
- Monitor and fine‑tune network parameters to improve latency, throughput, and call drop rates.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Participate in vendor negotiations and evaluate new technologies for potential deployment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in network simulation and performance tools (e.g., Atoll, TEMS, NetAct).
- In‑depth knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, and fiber optics technologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and presentation skills in both Arabic and English.
- Project management experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Education
The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. Advanced certifications such as Cisco CCNP, Nokia NRS, or Huawei HCIA are highly desirable and will be considered an added advantage.
Experience
