Job Description

The Procurement Engineering Manager will play a strategic leadership role in planning and managing the acquisition of capital assets, technical spare parts, machinery, production lines, and engineering equipment. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and production departments to ensure business continuity and minimize operational downtime.

The selected candidate will lead procurement projects, negotiate supplier agreements, monitor procurement budgets, and establish long-term supplier partnerships to support business objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning

  • Lead and manage the procurement engineering division with emphasis on CAPEX assets and industrial equipment procurement.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for machinery, engineering equipment, and spare parts sourcing.
  • Ensure procurement plans align with operational and production requirements.
  • Support factory modernization, asset replacement, and production line expansion projects.

Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
  • Build strategic supplier relationships to improve pricing, delivery timelines, and service quality.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and vendor assessments.
  • Negotiate contracts, payment terms, warranties, and procurement agreements.

Education Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Related Technical Disciplines

Professional certifications in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or Contract Management will be considered an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates should have:

  • 8+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Strong exposure to CAPEX procurement and spare parts sourcing.
  • Proven experience managing procurement for machinery, factory equipment, production lines, and industrial assets.
  • Experience negotiating with international and local vendors.
  • Strong background in procurement planning and supplier management.

Candidates with prior experience in industrial manufacturing, plastics production, FMCG manufacturing, engineering procurement, or factory operations are highly preferred.
