Job Overview
As a Digital Forestry Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in supporting our conservation efforts in Egypt. You will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets related to forestry and conservation, and for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to inform our conservation strategies.
Working closely with our forestry and conservation teams, you will help to identify areas of high conservation value, develop effective conservation plans, and monitor and evaluate the impact of our conservation efforts.
Key to your success will be your ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals, including foresters, conservation biologists, and data analysts. You will also need to be able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including government officials, local communities, and other partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to inform conservation strategies
- Analyze and interpret large datasets related to forestry and conservation
- Identify areas of high conservation value and develop effective conservation plans
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of conservation efforts
- Collaborate with forestry and conservation teams to develop and implement conservation strategies
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in forestry data analysis and management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, including R, Python, and Tableau
Education
Master’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field
