Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Data Scientist to join our team in Beni Suef, Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets related to forestry and conservation. The data scientist will work closely with our conservation team to develop and implement data-driven solutions to support our conservation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze large datasets related to forestry and conservation
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to support conservation efforts
- Work closely with the conservation team to develop and implement data-driven conservation strategies
- Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Data Science or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in data science and analytics
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithms
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Data Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Data Science or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in data science and analytics. Experience working in a conservation or environmental organization is an added advantage.
Salary
The salary for this position is SSP 80,000 – SSP 120,000 per year, depending on experience.
