Job Overview

The Vessel Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day management of CMA CGM’s vessel activities at the Marsa Matruh terminal. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement vessel stowage plans, ensuring optimal cargo distribution and stability.
  • Coordinate with pilotage, towage, and port authority officials to secure timely clearances.
  • Monitor compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, and local Egyptian maritime laws.
  • Lead a cross‑functional team of terminal supervisors, stevedores, and safety officers.
  • Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare daily and weekly performance reports for senior management.
  • Manage emergency response procedures and conduct regular safety drills.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to align vessel schedules with customer booking requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for cargo manifests, customs declarations, and vessel logs.
