Job Overview

This role involves designing, optimizing, and managing large-scale solar energy systems in Egypt’s Western Desert region. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure technical excellence, compliance with international standards, and alignment with Ørsted’s sustainability objectives. Candidates will contribute to Egypt’s renewable energy transition while gaining exposure to advanced photovoltaic technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer solar PV systems for utility-scale projects
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for solar installations
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of energy solutions
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies
  • Ensure compliance with Egyptian and international energy regulations
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports for stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Expertise in solar energy system design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of Egyptian energy grid integration standards
  • Experience with solar panel efficiency optimization techniques
  • Strong analytical skills for energy yield forecasting
  • Fluency in Arabic and English for technical communication
  • Problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting energy systems

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Sustainable Energy Systems
  • Certifications in solar energy technologies (e.g., NABCEP) are advantageous

Experience

  • 3-5 years in solar energy engineering or related renewable energy field
  • Experience with Egyptian solar energy projects preferred
  • Project management experience for energy infrastructure

Salary

45,000 – 60,000 SSP per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
