Job Overview

This role focuses on developing and implementing digital strategies to promote Egypt’s cultural heritage through innovative storytelling, virtual exhibitions, and interactive media. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between historical preservation and modern digital engagement, ensuring accessibility and impact for global audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute digital content strategies for cultural heritage projects, including virtual tours, AR/VR experiences, and social media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with historians, archaeologists, and technologists to translate historical narratives into engaging digital formats.
  • Manage content creation workflows, including video production, 3D modeling, and interactive web design.
  • Conduct audience research to optimize digital engagement metrics and user experience.
  • Participate in cross-departmental initiatives to align with the British Council’s global cultural preservation goals.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in digital content strategy, with a focus on cultural or historical projects.
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Unity, or Blender for multimedia production.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, analytics platforms (Google Analytics), and social media algorithms.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead remote and in-person teams.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset and passion for preserving cultural heritage through technology.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Heritage, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Digital Archiving or Museum Studies are advantageous.

Experience

3–5 years of professional experience in digital content creation, cultural project management, or heritage technology. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is preferred.

Salary

30,000–50,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
