Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating actionable intelligence on cyber threats targeting Cisco’s customers and internal assets in Egypt and the wider Middle East. The analyst will work closely with incident response teams, security operations centers, and product engineering groups to translate raw data into strategic insights that help prevent attacks, improve security posture, and inform product development. This position plays a critical role in Cisco’s global threat intelligence ecosystem, ensuring that the latest threat trends, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) are identified and shared promptly with stakeholders. The role also involves contributing to threat reports, briefings, and advisory documents that support both internal decision‑makers and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor open‑source, commercial, and proprietary threat feeds to identify emerging cyber threats relevant to Cisco’s portfolio.
- Conduct deep‑dive analysis of malware samples, phishing campaigns, and intrusion attempts using advanced tools and techniques.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly threat intelligence reports that highlight trends, risk assessments, and recommended mitigations.
- Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to provide context for alerts and support rapid incident response.
- Engage with product engineering teams to embed threat intelligence into security features and roadmap planning.
- Present findings to senior leadership, customers, and partners through briefings, webinars, and written advisories.
- Maintain and enrich the internal threat intelligence database, ensuring data quality and relevance.
- Stay current with global cyber threat landscapes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements affecting Egypt and the Middle East.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with experience in threat hunting, malware analysis, and reverse engineering.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM platforms, sandbox environments, and threat intelligence platforms (TIPs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non‑technical audiences.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, cloud architectures, and common attack vectors.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCTI, or similar are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in threat intelligence, cyber threat analysis, or a related security function. Prior experience in a multinational technology firm or a security‑focused consultancy will be viewed favorably.
Salary
