Job Overview
Kaspersky Lab Egypt seeks a Data Privacy Officer to lead data protection initiatives, ensuring compliance with international regulations such as GDPR and local Egyptian data privacy laws. This role is pivotal in safeguarding sensitive client information while fostering a culture of cybersecurity excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data privacy policies aligned with global and local regulations
- Conduct regular audits to identify data protection risks and vulnerabilities
- Provide training to employees on data handling, encryption, and compliance protocols
- Act as the primary point of contact for data breach investigations and incident response
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles into software development
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and update privacy frameworks accordingly
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in data privacy regulations (GDPR, Egyptian Data Protection Law)
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools and compliance management software
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and policy documentation
- Experience with data anonymization, encryption, and access control technologies
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and generate actionable privacy reports
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- Preferred certifications: CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional), CISSP
Experience
- 3-5 years in data privacy, cybersecurity, or compliance roles
- Experience in enterprise-level IT environments
Salary
120,000 – 150,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
